Dr. David Romeo - Board-Certified Orthodontist in Norwalk & Westport, CT


Upon completion of his orthodontic residency in 1975, Dr. David Romeo joined his father in the practice of orthodontics in Westport, CT where he had been born and raised. In 1978, Dr. David Romeo merged the Westport practice with Dr. Richard Kleefield’s Norwalk practice and Westwalk Orthodontic Group P.C. was formed.

Dr. David Romeo received his undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate degrees (B.A., D.M.D. and certificate in orthodontics) from the University of Connecticut. Upon completion of his postgraduate training, in recognition of his outstanding academic achievements, he was appointed to the graduate teaching faculty (orthodontics) at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington with the title of associate professor.

He pursues continuing education at the UConn Health Center and is a senior attending staff member and head of the orthodontic subsection of the dental section (department of surgery) at Norwalk Hospital.

Dr. David Romeo is past president of the Connecticut State Society of Orthodontists, the Orthodontic Alumni of the University of Connecticut, and the Greater Norwalk Dental Society. He has served on numerous committees of the Northeast Society of Orthodontists. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a member of its College of Diplomates.

David is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and its Northeastern component, as well as a member of the American Dental Association and its Connecticut state component. He has lectured to large professional groups on the subject of computerization in orthodontics.

David has served as a member of the board of directors of the Shorehaven Golf Club and as its president. He and his wife Julie reside in Norwalk and are the parents of two grown children, Mark and Erin. David is an avid golfer and enjoys playing various golf courses in the tri-state area.
